NIGERIA TRADE MISSION TO NEW ZEALAND

The mission is to raise a Trade and Business Delegation for a scheduled visit to New Zealand -meeting, visiting, and connecting with the Government, Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), and the business community in select cities.

 

The delegation will also Visit and participate in the annual Fieldays Agricultural Trade Fair on 12 June 2024(Fieldays is the largest agribusiness event in the Southern Hemisphere). Create and establish closer relationships with New Zealand and enhance trade & business opportunities between both parties.

 

Nigeria and New Zealand share a common interest in fostering a strong and mutually beneficial trade and bilateral relationship. This mission has the potential to enhance cooperation between the two countries in areas such as trade, investment, education, agriculture, and technology. By leveraging their respective strengths and complementarities, Nigeria and New Zealand can forge a partnership that promotes economic growth, sustainable development, and shared prosperity. Despite their geographic distance, they share several commonalities that provide a solid foundation for building a strong and mutually beneficial relationship. Both countries are Commonwealth nations with a shared commitment to democratic values, human rights, and the rule of law. Additionally, both countries are facing similar challenges, such as climate change and economic diversification. Nigeria and New Zealand have the potential to significantly expand their bilateral trade and investment.
